dwarf 20th Anniversary - Welcome to the Fantastic World of Stop Motion
20周年を迎えるコマ撮りアニメーションスタジオ ドワーフによるコマ撮りづくしのプログラム。代表作『こま撮りえいが こまねこ』上映、監督による解説と実際に使われた人形をその場でアニメーターが実演、そして、今もっとも活躍が期待されている新世代クリエイターたちがコマ撮りの未来について語り合います。ドワーフからみなさまへ、楽しいひとときをお届けします。
※会場での観覧の他、同時オンライン配信も行います。
On the occasion of 20th anniversary of dwarf, a stop motion animation studio, TAAF2023 will screen one of its representative works, “Komaneko -The Curious Cat-” along with a commentary by the director and a demonstration by the animator with puppets which actually used in the film. Then, up-and-coming new generation of creators will talk about the stop motion animation in the future. dwarf will bring you an enjoyable time.

Screening: Komaneko -The Curious Cat-
山の上のおうちに暮らすこまちゃんはものづくりが大好きなねこの女の子。いつも自分の心に素直に暮らしています。屋根裏部屋で作品をつくる日々に、ピクニック・・・笑ったり、嬉しかったり、かなしいときには声をあげて泣いたり・・・。そして、みかけがこわい雪男とも”おともだち”になれると信じています。そんなこまちゃんとひょんなことから出会った内気な少女、いぬ子。対照的な二人は”ほんとうのともだち”になれるかな？
This is a tale of a girl cat trying to create a puppet animation for the first time. She goes through thrill, excitement, and sometimes disappointment in the process. The story portraits the very first step that everyone’s once experienced.

Live Performance: ‘Komaneko’ Comes to the Real World!
Tsuneo Goda, director of the stop motion animation series “Komaneko”, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, will talk about the process of making “Komaneko”, and animator Hirokazu Minegishi will demonstrate animation using “real” Koma-chan.
Please enjoy Goda’s dusty talk and the moment Koma-chan comes to life.

コマ撮りって知っていますか？人形やフィギュアが動いているコンテンツを見たことがありませんか？本来動かないはずのものがあたかも自分で動いているように見える、あの動画が「コマ撮り」です。webサイト「コマコマ隊のコマドリル」を運営する竹内泰人、YouTubeチャンネル登録者数145万人の篠原健太、『PUI PUI モルカー』の見里朝希、プチプチ・アニメ『空き缶のツナ』の小川育による新世代クリエイターの座談会です。
Do you know about “stop motion”? Have you ever seen video content with moving puppets or character figures? In those videos, they move as if by themselves even though they do not actually move, that is “stop motion animation”. A round-table talk by Taijin Takeuchi, an operator of the website, “KOMAKOMATAI NO KOMADORIRU”, Kenta Shinohara who has 1.45 million subscribers of his YouTube channel, Tomoki Misato, the director of “PUI PUI MOLCAR” and Iku Ogawa, the director of “Tsuna the empty can” (ETV)- new generation of creators.
