THE EDGE
お婆さんはずっと先まで誰も住んでいない、小さな駅のある街に住んでいた。何年間もずっと、来る日も来る日も、お婆さんは変わらず金属の輪っかを作っていた。唯一のイベント事といえば止まらずに通過する汽車に手を振りに行くことだけ。
An elderly woman lives at a small station. There’s not a single living creature for miles away. Every day, during many years, she is making the round of the metals. The only event in the woman’s life is a train that passes her station without a stop.

期待して何かを待ち続ける。それがこんなにも切なく悲しいものなのだろうか。
この女性が期待していたものは何で、明日はどんな明日になるのだろう。タイトルの「端」には、ギリギリとか、端っこという意味が込められているのかもしれない。
このアニメーションを見た人には、是非、演劇「ゴドーを待ちながら」も見てほしい。

 サンクトプテルブルグのゲルツェン大学美術学部グラフィック学科を卒業、長編「小人-鼻」のセットデザイナーを務め、その後、連載アニメーション「キコリ」の監督を務める。2014年には初の短編アニメ、「Shades of Grey」を完成。「端」は2作目の作品となる。 Alexandra Averyanova graduated from Fine Arts Faculty, Graphics Department of the Herzen University in St. Petersburg, and then began to work as a set designer of the feature animation film “The Dwarf - Nose”. She then continued as a director of animation series “Kikoriki”. In 2014 she completed her first author's short animated film “Shades of Gray”. “The Edge” is her second author`s work. |
