Bene’s Horizon
アフリカの熱帯雨林で残虐なハンター達の元で生き延びている子供のベネ。しかし赤ん坊のゴリラに出会ってからは狩られる側となってしまう。
In the African rainforest, Bene is a child who survives under the rule of bloodthirsty hunters. But one day, after he meets a baby gorilla, it becomes his turn to be hunted.

カットアウトという手法はアニメーションの古典的な手法のひとつだが、日本ではあまり盛んでない。
この作品は、幻想文学とも言えるストーリーを、美しい色彩のカットアウトの手法で見事に語り切っている。こんな細かいことをよくやったなあ、と思わずその手間に感服してしまう。

 ジュミ ユンは2009年にポワチエのEESIを卒業、その後2011年にヴァランスのラ・プードリエールを卒業。エロワ ヒメネスは2005年にアングレームのEMCAを卒業、その後2007年にラ・プードリエールを卒業し両者とも数多くの短編、テレビ作品でアニメーターを務めている。 Jumi Yoon graduated from two French animation schools: EESI in Poitiers in 2009, and La Poudrière in Valence in 2011. Eloic Gimenez graduated from EMCA in Angoulême in 2005, and then La Poudrière in Valence in 2007. Since then, both work as animators on many short films and TV productions. |
