What Is Achievement Award?

The Achievement Award was first established in 2005 to honor individuals who have been instrumental in developing Japan’s animation culture and who have made significant contributions to the advancement of the animation industry. The Award is presented to pay tribute to those individuals who have made many years of contributions to the production of animations in terms of technique, modes of expression, and development of talented animators, as well as to those who have contributed, through education and international cultural exchanges, to the high regard in which the Japanese animation industry is held around the world.
